The Polkadot ecosystem is currently undergoing a gradual technical transition, in which individual pallets are migrating from the previous “Currency” type to the new, more modern “Fungible” type. During the transition period, there may be temporary restrictions on the operation of certain functions. These functions will be restored when Polkadot has successfully migrated all affected pallets. We have no influence on this process.
However, this also affects the addition of a proxy during the Onboarding process in the event that the freely transferable balance is lower than the already locked balance (frozen balance staked on the same wallet). In this case, a “LiquidityRestrictions” error message will appear at the Authorize Proxy step.
Therefore, we ask that users first go through the Onboarding process with the validator NFT and only then perform the vestingToFreeze and staking steps if the validator NFT and minted MOS tokens are in the same wallet.
If someone has already completed the staking and then started the validator onboarding process and encountered the “LiquidityRestrictions” error message, unfortunately they will have to wait until the min. staking period expires and unstake the MOS tokens in order to complete the Authorize Proxy step in the Onboarding process.
