We would like to inform you about the following news:

1. We have investigated this morning’s Mainnet issue:

The Indexer / Chain / Admin components are not actually faulty. The issue is caused by the fact that we were mistakenly labeling healthy machines as unhealthy. The issue was caused by a scheduled update that was performed yesterday between 21:00 and 22:00. During such updates, we install the latest security updates and bug fixes. While fixing the issue, we restarted the Gateway servers, which resulted in a “Bad Gateway” error for a few minutes when users visited Explorer during the early morning. We tested the validator onboarding and confirmed that the issue no longer affects the connection of newly arriving validators.

2. Authorize Proxy stuck:

After signing the transaction in SubWallet on the Authorize Proxy screen, you may not be able to proceed because the two-factor authentication pop-up window does not appear. We already have a potential fix for this issue, which is currently being tested. If you are also experiencing this issue, restart your validator machine. You can then continue onboarding. (Of course, you do not need to transfer the 20 MOS to the Controller account – which is on the machine – again if this has already been successfully done before, so this does not represent an additional cost for you).

3. Explorer does not load properly in Firefox version 145.0:

This was caused by a Firefox update, so it only occurs in Firefox browser version 145.0. If you experience this issue, update your Firefox to the latest version, as the bug has already been fixed in version 145.0.1!

4. Cloudflare 500 Error:

On November 18th, a significant part of the Internet was affected by an outage/error in Cloudflare’s network. Our network was also affected, which was mainly noticeable when visiting the Explorer / VPN Controller interface. Cloudflare has since fixed the problem, the incident report can be read here: https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/incidents/8gmgl950y3h7. We would like to emphasize that this did NOT affect the operation of the blockchain, only the availability of websites.

5. Validator Node Status Change Tracking:

We previously promised that after the Chain goes live, we would develop an application for you that will allow you to receive email notifications in case of Chain node problems (e.g. chilling, unchilling events), i.e. if a validator’s status changes. This will be ready soon, it is already in the testing phase and its name has been changed to the Sentinel application.
