Today, the number of active validators on the Mosaic Chain exceeded the number of 905 active validators on SOLANA.

With this, we have once again moved forward in the ranks of decentralized blockchain systems, although not all of our validators have joined our live Mosaic Blockchain. At the time of writing, there are already 904 active validators producing blocks and producing MOS coins.

The condition for activating the reward distribution – as previously announced – is to reach 1201 active validators. Please note that you should not look at the connected – but not active – validator indicator on the Explorer, but at the green area of ​​the pie chart on the left! Clicking on this will display the number of our current active validators.

Reaching the expected number of 1201 active validators does not mean that the reward distribution will automatically be activated that second. This moment is unpredictable when it will arrive. So the decision was made to start the reward distribution on the Monday after the expected number is reached.

We will of course communicate the reaching of 1201 and the activation, but in the meantime everyone has the opportunity to use the hours or days ahead – depending on the moment of reaching 1201 – to connect, so that they can literally participate in the reward distribution from the first moment.

At the same time as the reward distribution, we will also activate the slashing (punishment) function. Since this function is also activated, if there is a foreseeable power outage or it is necessary to move the node device for some reason, we definitely recommend putting it in Chill (sleep) mode beforehand, in order to avoid slashing!
